Job Purpose
The Podcast Production Manager will oversee the end-to-end production and delivery of The Thomas Bros podcast content across audio, video, YouTube, and social platforms.
This role is responsible for producing weekly podcast episodes from concept through to publication — managing recording, filming, editing, publishing, content planning, sponsor integration, and social asset delivery — while helping to drive audience growth, production quality, and overall podcast performance.
Key Responsibilities
Podcast Production & Delivery
- Produce and manage weekly podcast episodes from pre-production through to final delivery
- Lead recording sessions, ensuring high-quality audio and video production standards
- Edit podcast episodes to a polished, professional standard across audio and video formats
- Upload, schedule, and manage podcast distribution via Acast and other relevant platforms
- Maintain and update the content tracker daily, including planned episodes, clips, upcoming themes, and production timelines
- Play a key role in shaping and delivering the wider podcast content strategy
- Identify opportunities for guest appearances, collaborations, and host placements that support audience growth and brand visibility
- Maintain strong editorial judgement and brand protection across all published content from a PR and reputational perspective

Sponsor & Ad Read Integration
- Integrate approved ad reads and sponsor messaging into podcast episodes
- Review and refine sponsor scripts where required to ensure alignment with tone of voice and audience engagement
- Export sponsor clips and branded assets for promotional use where required
Podcast Growth & Development
- Collaborate with leadership to refine podcast format, content direction, and production workflows
- Recommend improvements across sound quality, production efficiency, audience retention, and content performance
- Support growth and optimisation across YouTube, podcast platforms, and social channels
- Share competitor analysis, best-in-class examples, test-and-learn strategies, and bi-weekly performance insights
- Take an always-on approach to identifying new marketing, distribution, and cross-promotion opportunities to grow reach and engagement
Visual & Social Content
- Create and oversee visual podcast assets including episode thumbnails, graphics, and branding materials
- Export and format podcast clips for social media platforms, ensuring content is optimised for each channel

Additional Information
- This role may require flexibility around recording, filming, and production schedules
- Opportunity to play a key role in shaping and growing a rapidly scaling podcast and digital media brand
Requirements
- 2–4+ years’ experience in podcast production, content production, digital media, or a similar role
- Proven experience producing, editing, and publishing long-form video/audio content for YouTube, podcasts, and social platforms
- Strong working knowledge of end-to-end podcast production workflows and editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Audition, or similar
- Understanding of social-first content, including creating short-form clips and assets for social media
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, production schedules, and content outputs simultaneously
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain a polished, professional standard across all content
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with creators and on-screen talent
- Proactive mindset with the ability to identify improvements, trends, and growth opportunities
- Previous experience within podcasts, creator-led brands, or digital media environments is highly desirable
- Full-time availability with flexibility around recording and production schedules
- Based in or near Stockport/Manchester preferred
- Full UK driving licence preferred, with willingness to travel where required
