Role Description
The Podiatrist will provide direct clinical care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of foot and lower limb conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing routine podiatry services such as nail care, callus and corn removal, and wound care, as well as treating more complex issues like ingrowing toenails, sports-related injuries, and biomechanical problems. The role involves creating individualized treatment plans, advising on preventative care, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals when needed.

This is a part-time, on-site role based at the clinic in Bexley, requiring consistent in-person presence to support patient appointments and follow-up care.

Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills in Podiatry and Medicine, with the ability to assess, diagnose, and manage diverse foot conditions.
- Competence in Biomechanics and Orthotics, including gait analysis, functional assessments, and prescribing or modifying orthotic devices. (Desired).
- Experience or training in Diabetes-related foot care, including risk assessment, ulcer prevention, and management of high-risk patients.
- Recognized qualification in Podiatry (e.g., degree or diploma) and eligibility for relevant professional registration and practice in the region.
- Excellent patient communication skills, including the ability to explain treatment options clearly and provide empathetic, person-centered care.
- Strong record-keeping and documentation abilities, with attention to detail and adherence to clinical and safety standards.
- Ability to work independently in a clinic setting, manage a varied caseload, and contribute positively to a small, collaborative team.
- Previous experience in private practice, community or NHS clinic settings is beneficial, as is ongoing engagement with professional development and evidence-based practice.
