Graduate Podiatrist
Hayes, Middlesex
£30,000 - £35,000 per annum, DOE
This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or newly qualified podiatrist to join a busy, well-established clinic. Candidates with a few years' experience are also welcome to apply. You'll work alongside an experienced Musculoskeletal Lead Podiatrist, building a broad caseload and gaining hands-on training in advanced treatments not always available at graduate level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out thorough patient assessments and consultations, taking accurate medical and social histories
- Diagnose and treat a broad range of foot and lower limb conditions, including verrucas and warts, corns and calluses, fungal nails and ingrown toenails (including nail surgery under local anaesthetic where competent)
- Assess and manage heel pain and plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, flat feet and other biomechanical or musculoskeletal complaints
- Support the care of diabetic and high-risk foot patients, including wound assessment and management
- Carry out gait analysis and contribute to the design and provision of custom foot orthotics
- Deliver or assist with advanced treatments such as MLS laser therapy and shockwave therapy (full training provided)
- Provide paediatric footcare and medical pedicures with warm wax therapy where required
- Maintain clear, accurate and timely clinical records in line with HCPC standards
- Obtain informed consent before treatment and explain findings and options clearly to patients
- Work collaboratively with the wider clinical and reception team to deliver a high standard of patient care
