Job Opening: Police Staff Investigators

We are seeking 12 PIP 2 qualified Police Staff Investigators based in the following locations:

  • Shrewsbury x 2
  • Telford x 2
  • Kidderminster x 3
  • Worcester x 2
  • Redditch x 1
  • Hereford x 2

We will consider PIP 1 qualified candidates if they meet the requirements detailed on the attached role profile. Please pay particular attention to the knowledge, experience, and key skills on the role profile.

Key Requirements

  • Travel: There may be a requirement to travel between these locations to support investigations.
  • Employment Type: We would ideally like 12 full-time people but will consider part-time candidates where it suits our needs.
  • Work Arrangement: There will be no home working with these roles.

Purpose of the Role

The main purpose of the role is to:

  • Prevent and detect crime.
  • Investigate criminal activity.
  • Actively participate in a wide range of evidence gathering and criminal investigation tasks involving victims, witnesses, technical sources, and suspects.

Contract Details

  • Duration: This is a fixed-term contract until 31st March 2027.
  • Application Process: It is a CV only process – please ensure your employment history is up to date.
