Help shape better emergency services — whoever you are, wherever you’re from.

At ORH, we help emergency services across the world respond more effectively and efficiently — from optimising ambulance cover to improving fire and rescue planning. As a Subject Matter Expert, you’ll play a key role in shaping how operational reality is translated into robust analysis, directly influencing decisions that improve services and outcomes. We know that diverse perspectives make our work stronger. Whatever your background, life experience or identity, you’ll be welcomed and supported here. We are open to applications from candidates seeking either full-time or part-time employment and are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements.

Why Join ORH?

We’re a small, highly collaborative consultancy with big impact. Recognised as one of the UK’s Best Small Workplaces, we value openness, respect and inclusion. You’ll work alongside consultants and analysts on high-profile projects, contributing your expertise from day one. This role sits at the heart of our consulting delivery. You’ll act as a bridge between clients and project teams, using your operational expertise to shape clear, structured inputs that underpin modelling, analysis and recommendations. You’ll lead workshops, work closely with analysts and consultants, and ensure that everything we deliver is grounded in real operational practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
