Policy Officer

Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh is currently looking to recruit 2 x Policy Officers on a contract basis running initially until 31st March 2027, on a rate of £21.77/hour PAYE. These roles will be hybrid based.

Responsibilities

  • Support work to secure financial contributions from providers, including assistance with stakeholder engagement, researching of potential contributors, and record management of important documentation, e.g., contracts and payments.
  • Research information from organisations provided earlier in the scheme and ensure that is reflected in critical databases for the Scheme, identifying gaps and potential additions for each organisation using the document management system.
  • Support on the delivery of Reports and Statements to Contributors.
  • Support quality control/ assurance of the Scheme by ensuring accurate information is provided to Contributors and Providers, and to other areas within the Division, particularly relating to financial allocations to Contributors.
  • Support with scheduling of meetings, triage and management of central mailbox, and accurate note taking.
  • Lead and contribute to ad hoc work, commensurate to the role, to support overall team delivery.
  • Work flexibly as part of a team to perform other tasks as required.
