About the Role:
Centrohire is looking for experienced Poling Operatives / PEU Engineers to join established telecoms infrastructure projects across London and surrounding areas. You’ll be responsible for the safe installation, replacement, maintenance and removal of telecoms poles and associated overhead network infrastructure.
What You’ll Do:
- Install, replace and maintain telecoms poles and overhead infrastructure
- Carry out excavation, backfilling and reinstatement works
- Operate PEU, plant, machinery and associated equipment safely
- Read plans, drawings and work instructions
- Complete site documentation, risk assessments and safety checks
- Work safely around highways, pedestrians and live utility infrastructure
- Maintain professional standards and leave sites safe and tidy

What We’re Looking For:
- Previous poling / PEU / overhead telecoms experience
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- NRSWA / Streetworks accreditation
- SA006 – desirable/required depending on project
- NPORS / PEU / HIAB / Lorry Loader tickets – highly desirable
- Openreach or similar telecoms infrastructure experience
- Good understanding of health & safety and safe digging practices
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
- Flexible to travel across project locations
