Job details

The Conservative Environment Network (CEN) is the home for conservatives who support responsible environmental leadership. We are looking for a personable and organised political engagement manager to support the growth and development of CEN’s network.

Conservatives inherently care about protecting the environment for future generations. We want to mobilise more of them from across the UK and at all levels of politics to champion the environment and help us develop the solutions we need on climate change and nature loss. CEN wants to grow our network of conservative environmentalists - at all stages in their political journey - to show that our movement can lead the debate on environmental issues.

The successful candidate will work across CEN’s networks, from MPs and MSPs to councillors and grassroots supporters, and will have the opportunity to bring their own ideas to how we engage and grow support for CEN’s mission. We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate a strong track record of engaging conservatives and growing networks, with an enthusiasm for working on environmental issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage our Westminster parliamentary caucus and Scottish parliamentary group, growing the membership, producing and sharing regular updates, and identifying new opportunities to get their input into our work.
  • Develop our councillor network by helping to grow the network, create new resources for CEN councillors, produce newsletters and magazines, and hold webinars and roundtables.
  • Develop our supporter and ambassador networks by helping to shape our events programme and sending out regular newsletters, to create opportunities for grassroots supporters to input into our work, meet like-minded people, and support CEN’s mission to promote conservative environmentalism
  • Oversee our Next Gen CEN youth programme and our young ambassador network by supporting our events programme and sending out regular newsletters, to offer young people the opportunity to network, share their ideas, and learn about conservative environmentalism
  • Develop our network of CEN fellows by identifying and engaging influential grassroots conservatives to join the network, attend our events, and share feedback on our work.
  • Represent CEN at external events

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
