Pool & Fitness Attendants

Pool & Fitness Attendants are responsible for delivering exceptional levels of services to guests and members in all aspects of the spa operation in line with Forbes standards, whilst delivering excellent five star client care. Responsible for revenue generation through up-selling of personal training and cross sales to other areas in the Spa & Resort. Responsible for performing spa set up and close down procedures and ensuring all guest amenities are replenished throughout the day.

Job Functions

  • Maintain adequate pool coverage – lifeguard duties including pool tests & monitoring of pool /whirlpool cleanliness. Dealing directly with technical services to maintain the pool plant room.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and levels of guest supplies in the fitness and Spa areas.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the entire Spa in particular the changing rooms, toilets, and showers plus relax areas
  • Follow opening and closing procedures correctly, reporting any maintenance issues to the Duty Manager
  • Responsible for achieving sales targets as set by the Spa Manager. Encourage clients to return to the spa by recommending an on-going fitness programme and cross selling the other products & services in the spa.
  • In collaboration with the Fitness Instructor, assist in driving personal training revenue through recommending a course of sessions based upon achieving objectives.
  • Where possible, provide personal training, gym instruction and fitness programmes for all guests and members, taking into account their needs and goals monitoring their progress on a regular basis.

Candidate Specification

  • Must be eligible to live and work within the UK.
  • Must be willing to adhere to immaculate grooming policy and strict uniform standards.
  • Previous experience within a Spa or leisure environment is essential.
  • Must be in possession of relevant lifeguarding qualification
  • First Aid qualification is desirable
  • Fitness qualification is preferred but not essential
  • Perform any other duties deemed reasonable by management showing flexibility to cover areas outside the listed responsibilities
