MOT Tester – Porsche Centre Edinburgh

Are you an experienced MOT Tester who values quality, precision, professionalism and takes pride in delivering work to the highest standard?

We are looking for an experienced MOT Tester to join our team at Porsche Centre Edinburgh. This excellent opportunity could suit someone who enjoys focusing on their specialist MOT expertise and is looking for a role centred on inspection, compliance and quality.

About The Role

As an MOT Tester, you will be responsible for carrying out MOT inspections in line with current DVSA standards, ensuring every vehicle meets the highest levels of safety and quality expected of the Porsche brand.

Working within our state-of-the-art workshop, you will be part of a highly skilled supportive team where quality is always priority.

Your experience and technical judgement will be highly valued, with the emphasis on completing accurate, thorough MOT inspections and providing a consistently high standard of service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out MOT tests in accordance with current DVSA regulations
  • Identify and accurately report vehicle defects and any work required
  • Complete inspections efficiently, thoroughly and to the highest standards
  • Maintain accurate MOT records and documentation
  • Communicate findings clearly with colleagues and the wider Aftersales team
  • Work collaboratively with the Workshop team where further investigation or repair is required
  • Maintain a clean, safe and professional working environment

What We Are Looking For

  • A valid MOT Tester licence – essential
  • Proven experience as an MOT Tester or in a similar automotive role
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Excellent knowledge of MOT requirements and vehicle safety standards
  • A calm, professional and reliable approach to your work
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • A willingness to share your knowledge and experience with colleagues
  • Technician qualifications (Level 3 or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
