Port Operations Supervisor – NZT Redcar
We are seeking an experienced Port Operations Supervisor to oversee site-based port and haulage operations for a major logistics and transport project at NZT Redcar. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in port operations, abnormal load transport, and logistics coordination who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

Responsibilities
- Manage all port operations in the UK, including post-carriage of international shipments, in-country transport and on-site abnormal loads.
- Prepare and maintain regular transport forecasts.
- Act as the primary interface between port stakeholders, haulage providers, and the transport and logistics (T&L) team.
- Work closely with the Construction team to establish berthing priorities and communicate these to port operators.
- Coordinate vessel berthing plans at Redcar Bulk Terminal (RBT) and manage loading activities with port operators, stevedores, and hauliers.
- Monitor shipment execution and ensure compliance with all HSE and operational standards.
- Supervise operations at the Material Offloading Facility (MOF) and at the local public port.
- Ensure stakeholder access to berths, including clients, contractors, customs authorities, and surveyors.
- Collaborate on improving transport, customs processes, and communication flows across the site.

Must-Have Requirements

- Proven experience in general and abnormal load transport, as well as port operations.
- Strong knowledge of port planning, UK abnormal load regulations, and operational logistics.
- Competence in Incoterms, transport documentation, and stevedoring activities.
- Familiarity with the Oil & Gas or Energy sector.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with OOG/SHLO equipment handling.
- Knowledge of multi-stakeholder port and logistics environments.
- Understanding of customs and freight-forwarding best practices.
