Port Operative
Are you excited by the opportunity to develop your skills and work on a range of plant and machinery? Do you want to work in a fast-paced, operational environment? We are seeking Port Operatives to work across KGV Docks and Rothesay Dock in our Clydeport cluster and be part of a team that helps keep the world moving!
Your Role
As a Port Operative, you will be part of a team delivering safe and efficient port operations. You will operate plant, machinery, and equipment, report defects, maintain high standards of housekeeping, and support a positive safety culture. You'll also have opportunities to develop your skills through training and multi-skilled working across a range of operational activities.
What you'll bring
You may already be in an operational role or keen to move to your first role at this level. You will have proven experience in an industrial/Port environment, with experience operating Loading Shovels, 360 Excavators, FLTs, and Telehandlers desirable. You will be able to work safely in an operational environment, including working at height where required, and be willing to work flexibly to support operational demands. You will be committed to maintaining and contributing to Peel Health and Safety standards, policies, and procedures. Knowledge of TASCC scheme compliance would be advantageous.

You will possess good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications. Previous experience operating port handling equipment such as FLTs, Loading Shovels, and Mobile Harbour Cranes is desirable; however, full training will be provided for the right candidate.
