Job Title: Port Service Operative

Introduction
At Stena Line, our Port Operations Team in Birkenhead plays a vital role in keeping Europe connected through safe, efficient, and reliable freight and passenger services. This is a hands-on operational role where your skills behind the wheel and your teamwork mindset will make a real impact.
Whether you come from a background in farming, transport, or heavy vehicle operations, we are looking for promising and experienced candidates who are keen to develop in a role that offers stability and clear working patterns within one of Europe's leading shipping companies.
Some Of Your Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Tugmaster to transfer trailers on and off vessels.
- Assist with mooring and vessel loading/unloading procedures.
- Marshal freight and passenger vehicles for embarkation and disembarkation.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety across port areas.
- Follow structured operational procedures and safety protocols.
- Adapt to training on new equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth port operations.

You’re a safety-first professional with experience operating large vehicles like HGVs, Tugmasters, or agricultural machinery. Qualifications
- Experience operating large vehicles (HGVs, Tugmasters, or similar).
- Previous work in port operations or logistics is a plus.
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Communication and customer service skills.
- Commitment to safety and following structured procedures.
