Fancy escaping to one of the UK's most beautiful and unique destinations for the remainder of the 2026 season? We are looking for a Porter & Maintenance Team Member to join the team at a stunning beachfront hotel on the Isles of Scilly.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is practical, hardworking, and enjoys a varied role where no two days are quite the same. Your Role

As a Porter & Maintenance Team Member, you'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the hotel. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming guests and assisting with luggage and belongings
  • Helping guests with their arrival and departure
  • Keeping public areas around the hotel clean, tidy, and well presented
  • Carrying out general maintenance and basic repairs around the hotel
  • Assisting with painting, decorating, and general upkeep where required
  • Identifying and reporting larger maintenance issues to the General Manager
  • Helping to ensure the hotel, grounds, and facilities are maintained to a high standard
  • Responding positively to guest and team requests
  • Managing your own time and priorities effectively
  • Working efficiently and safely, even during busy periods
  • Supporting other departments and the wider hotel team when required

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Practical, reliable, and hardworking
  • Proactive and happy to take on a variety of tasks
  • Confident carrying out basic repairs and maintenance
  • Comfortable with simple painting and decorating work
  • Physically fit, as the role involves some lifting and carrying
  • Well organized and able to manage your own workload
  • A strong team player with good communication skills
  • Flexible and willing to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Professional, friendly, and helpful when dealing with guests
  • Someone who takes pride in their work and the appearance of the hotel
