About The Role
Join our Hospital team as a Porter, playing a vital role in ensuring patients, colleagues and departments receive the support they need every day. This is a hands-on position where you'll help create a safe, caring and efficient environment by transporting patients, moving essential supplies and supporting the smooth running of hospital services. Rotating shifts
- 7am-3pm
- 9am-5pm
- 11am-7pm
- Saturday shifts expected 1 in every 3 weeks

What you'll be doing
- Safely and respectfully transporting patients between wards, theatres and departments.
- Supporting clinical teams with patient transfers and discharge activities.
- Ensuring timely delivery of specimens, patient equipment, linen and hospital supplies.
- Managing waste, recycling and linen collections across the hospital.
- Replenishing departments with essential stock, including linen and gas cylinders.
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety, infection prevention and patient care.
- Supporting the efficient operation of hospital services through accurate record keeping and teamwork.
- Assisting with audits, training activities and continuous service improvements.

What we'll look for in you
- Previous customer service or patient-facing experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a caring and professional approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- A good understanding of health and safety principles.
- Reliable, flexible and committed to delivering outstanding service.
- Physically fit and capable of moving patients, pushing loaded trolleys and undertaking manual handling activities.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to a high-performing hospital team.
