About The Role
Join our Hospital team as a Porter, playing a vital role in ensuring patients, colleagues and departments receive the support they need every day. This is a hands-on position where you'll help create a safe, caring and efficient environment by transporting patients, moving essential supplies and supporting the smooth running of hospital services. If you're someone who enjoys helping others, takes pride in delivering excellent service and thrives in a busy environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Rotating shifts
- 7am-3pm
- 9am-5pm
- 11am-7pm
- Saturday shifts expected 1 in every 3 weeks

What you'll be doing
- Safely and respectfully transporting patients between wards, theatres and departments.
- Supporting clinical teams with patient transfers and discharge activities.
- Ensuring timely delivery of specimens, patient equipment, linen and hospital supplies.
- Managing waste, recycling and linen collections across the hospital.
- Replenishing departments with essential stock, including linen and gas cylinders.
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety, infection prevention and patient care.
- Supporting the efficient operation of hospital services through accurate record keeping and teamwork.
- Assisting with audits, training activities and continuous service improvements.

What we'll look for in you
- Previous customer service or patient-facing experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a caring and professional approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- A good understanding of health and safety principles.
- Reliable, flexible and committed to delivering outstanding service.
- Physically fit and capable of moving patients, pushing loaded trolleys and undertaking manual handling activities.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to a high-performing hospital team.
