About You

You will be highly organised, practical and able to prioritise a diverse workload across busy operational sites. You will have a strong awareness of health, safety and security requirements and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Ability to carry out routine building maintenance and practical repair tasks.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • Strong understanding of workplace health, safety and security practices.
  • Ability to follow and respond appropriately to emergency procedures.
  • Competent in the use of IT systems and mobile technology.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Flexible approach to work, including travelling between sites and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of alarm systems and the ability to respond to and reset alarms following training.
  • Understanding of building safety equipment, including fire alarms, extinguishers, emergency systems and security controls.

Desirable

  • Current full UK driving licence.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle for business travel.
  • Previous experience in a facilities, estates, maintenance or portering environment.
  • Experience using helpdesk or maintenance management systems.
