Portfolio Administration - London - Buyside - Hybrid - 12 Month Fixed Terms Contract

We’re working with a leading institutional investment organisation looking to hire an Investment Operations Analyst into its growing Portfolio Administration team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1–3 years’ experience within investment operations, fund administration, middle office or a similar financial services environment who is looking to broaden their product exposure and develop their career within investments. Private markets experience is not required – the team is open to candidates from wider asset management, investment banking, wealth management, fund administration or financial services operations backgrounds.

The Role

Sitting within Investment Operations, you’ll support the administration and ongoing oversight of a diverse investment portfolio, working closely with Investment, Legal and Operations teams.

  • Supporting the processing and administration of investment transactions
  • Assisting with the onboarding of new investments and maintaining accurate investment records
  • Monitoring investments for lifecycle events and ensuring these are processed accurately and on time
  • Working closely with Investment and Legal teams to resolve operational queries
  • Reviewing investment documentation and ensuring relevant information is accurately reflected within internal systems
  • Supporting portfolio reporting and maintaining high-quality investment data
  • Assisting with reconciliations, controls and exception management where required
  • Identifying opportunities to improve operational processes and procedures
  • Supporting wider projects and change initiatives across Investment Operations

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–3 years' experience within Investment Operations, Fund Administration, Middle Office, Asset Servicing or a similar environment
  • Good understanding of the investment/trade lifecycle
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately within deadlines
  • Comfortable working with investment data and operational systems
  • Good Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with multiple stakeholders
  • An interest in developing knowledge across equity and fund investments
  • A proactive mindset with an interest in improving processes and controls
