Description

Do you have experience of monitoring, understanding, and mapping a broad portfolio of project activity and want to use it to improve the lives of dogs and their owners?

We’re looking for a Portfolio Analyst, who will focus on dependency and timeline mapping, supporting the Portfolio Manager to ensure that appropriate governance and support across a portfolio of diverse, exciting projects.

What does this role do?

As Portfolio Analyst, you'll:

  • Maintain portfolio plans, roadmaps, and milestones, ensuring all projects adhere to the project framework, governance standards, and best practice, working closely with the rest of the Portfolio team to deliver an excellent service,
  • Closely monitor status and resource allocation across the portfolio, effectively communicating updates and highlighting any issues,
  • Focus closely on dependencies across the portfolio, understanding how projects are interrelated and the wider implications of modifying timelines,
  • Support the Portfolio Manager to ensure project benefits are articulated effectively, as well as facilitating post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions.

Could this be you?

To be successful in this role, you’ll have experience of working across a broad portfolio of projects, with experience of analysing business cases, extracting information and contextualising activity across a wider portfolio. We’re particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have lots of experience of dependency and timeline mapping. You’ll need excellent communication skills, the ability to process complex information into concise plans, combined with the ability to build strong key relationships with various teams. A commitment to the work we do at Dogs Trust is essential.

What does this team do?

The Delivery and Performance directorate is responsible for ensuring the organisation works towards greater levels of performance, efficiency and effectiveness through business planning, supporting change and using insights to inform decision making. It is also responsible for ensuring Dogs Trust is more sustainable across purchasing and fleet, as well as ensuring our offices and sites are utilised to their maximum potential and working within health and safety requirements.
