Ready to Make a Strategic Impact?

Do you enjoy seeing the bigger picture, influencing decisions and turning insight into action? Join us to help shape how one of the UK’s largest capital programmes delivers value.

We’re building a new Capital Efficiency team and looking for strategic thinkers who bring challenge, curiosity and fresh perspective. You may come from water, energy, transport, rail, construction, utilities or another asset-intensive sector. What matters most is your ability to connect complex programmes, people and insight to help leaders make better decisions.

You’ll work alongside senior leaders, influence investment priorities and help drive efficiency across our Water or Waste portfolio. If you’re excited by the challenge but don’t meet every requirement, we’d still love to hear from you. We value transferable skills, diverse experiences and different career journeys because they make our teams stronger.

As a Portfolio Capital Efficiency Lead, you will:

  • Act as the strategic capital efficiency lead for either our Water or Waste portfolio, working closely with Sponsor Directors to translate agreed portfolio priorities into focused efficiency activity.
  • Provide insight, challenge and recommendations that help shape decision-making at a senior leadership level.
  • Review portfolio performance, identifying key risks, gaps, opportunities and emerging trends.
  • Translate sponsor priorities into focused activity across delivery teams through our Capital Efficiency Partners.
  • Use delivery evidence and input from our Capital Efficiency Partners to assess the maturity, credibility and deliverability of efficiency opportunities before they are presented to sponsors.
  • Develop compelling portfolio narratives that explain performance, progress and areas requiring intervention.
  • Influence strategic direction and ensure attention is focused on the areas that will deliver the greatest value.
  • Work across Sponsorship, Delivery, Finance and PMO functions to create a coherent portfolio-wide view of efficiency performance.
  • Help shape the future capital efficiency strategy across one of the UK's largest infrastructure investment programmes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
