Description
At World Animal Protection, we're working to improve the lives of animals around the world. We're looking for a Portfolio Delivery Manager to help ensure that our most strategically important work is delivered effectively, consistently and with confidence.
In this role, you will lead and develop our delivery management approach across a varied portfolio of initiatives, supporting work delivered by internal teams and external partners. You will help create the conditions for successful delivery by strengthening governance, improving visibility of progress, identifying risks and dependencies early, and bringing people together to resolve challenges. You'll also play an important role in building delivery management capability across the organisation, helping teams strengthen planning, mobilisation and delivery practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery management across strategically significant projects and programmes, ensuring work is mobilised, governed and supported effectively.
- Adapt and apply delivery management processes, tools and PMO approaches across a range of delivery environments and initiatives.
- Coordinate work delivered through external partners, ensuring clear governance, accountability, visibility and escalation routes.
- Work collaboratively across teams to identify and address risks, dependencies, readiness gaps and delivery challenges.
- Build organisational delivery capability by strengthening planning, mobilisation, governance and oversight practices.
- Review delivery performance across the portfolio and implement improvements that increase consistency, control and delivery effectiveness.
- Provide advice and guidance on delivery feasibility, risks, partnership impacts and actions needed to keep work on track

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience leading project, programme, PMO or delivery management work across a complex portfolio of initiatives.
- Ability to adapt delivery approaches, tools and processes to different delivery contexts while maintaining effective governance and usability.
- Experience coordinating work across multiple stakeholders, including external partners, with accountability for delivery oversight and progress.
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to bring people together to resolve delivery issues, dependencies and operational challenges.
- Experience improving delivery management capability, planning discipline and the practical application of PMO standards.
- Sound judgement in assessing delivery feasibility, identifying risks and recommending actions that improve delivery confidence and outcomes.
- People management experience, including supporting development, setting priorities and maintaining quality standards
