Portfolio Delivery Manager
Location: London
Contract Type: Fixed Term contract – 6 months
Work Pattern: Hybrid – 2 days per week in London
About The Role
We're looking for a highly organised, proactive and delivery-focused Portfolio Delivery Manager to help drive the successful execution of a diverse portfolio of business and technology change initiatives.
This role sits within our Change Delivery & Governance function and acts as a key operational partner to the Head of Delivery & Project Governance, providing hands-on support to Project Managers, Product Teams and delivery leads across the portfolio.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in keeping projects moving, removing delivery blockers, coordinating activity across teams and ensuring key initiatives remain on track. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the centre of change delivery, helping teams solve problems and enabling successful outcomes.

What You’ll Spend Your Time Doing
- Providing strategic support to the Head of Delivery & Project Governance to execute key initiatives and achieve portfolio objectives.
- Working closely with Project Managers, Product Owners and Delivery Leads to help drive delivery progress.
- Supporting resolution of delivery issues, dependencies, risks and resource challenges.
- Acting as a first point of contact for Project Managers requiring guidance, support or escalation assistance.
- Coordinating actions across business, technology and third-party teams to maintain delivery momentum.
- Following up key deliverables, decisions and commitments to ensure projects remain on track.
- Supporting demand assessments, estimates, planning activities and onboarding of new change initiatives.
- Helping prepare project updates, executive summaries, steering committee papers and portfolio reporting.
- Identifying delivery risks and emerging issues early and ensuring appropriate action is taken.
- Supporting delivery reviews, project health checks and continuous improvement activities.
- Working closely with PMO colleagues to maintain visibility of portfolio performance, capacity and priorities.
- Supporting Product Teams in embedding effective delivery practices and reporting requirements.
- Contributing to improvements in delivery processes, tools and ways of working.

What We Need From You
- Experience working within Project Management, Portfolio Delivery, PMO or Change Delivery environments.
- Experience in delivering effective project governance and oversight, ensuring projects are completed successfully and aligned with business objectives.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience supporting complex technology and business change initiatives.
- Ability to identify issues, challenge constructively and drive actions through to completion.
- Strong attention to detail combined with a practical, delivery-focused mindset.
- Comfortable operating across both traditional project delivery and agile/product-led delivery environments.
- Someone who enjoys solving problems, bringing people together and helping teams succeed.

What Can You Expect From Us?
- Competitive Base Salary
- Performance Related Discretionary Bonus
- Holiday: 28 days core annual leave, and you can buy up to 5 days
- Pension: A minimum 2% employee contribution plus 7% MS Amlin contribution (9%) up to a maximum of 5% employee contribution plus 13% MS Amlin contribution (18%)
