Life on the team
Our Transition & Transformation team plays a critical role in the successful delivery of complex Managed Services transitions, service exits, large transformation programmes and sensitive in-life change projects. As Country Portfolio Director, you will operate at the heart of this environment, working closely with senior customer stakeholders, Country leadership, GMS leadership, Sales and Service Management, Service Delivery, People Leaders and the wider T&T community.
This is a senior leadership role requiring strong executive judgement, commercial awareness and the ability to build confidence and trust at pace. You will lead through influence, bring teams together around shared outcomes and help create a high-performing portfolio culture focused on quality, customer success and continuous improvement.
What you'll do
- Take end-to-end accountability for the commercial, contractual, execution and customer success outcomes of complex transition and transformation engagements within your portfolio.
- Contribute to the review and management of the T&T pipeline, ensuring the right level of support, governance and resource planning is in place during pre-sales, contract and delivery stages.
- Provide senior leadership across portfolio delivery (should this be ‘execution), ensuring projects are delivered to agreed scope, quality, time and budget expectations.
- Act as the senior escalation point for high-profile or high-risk engagements, both internally and with customers.
- Build trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders, Country leadership, GMS leadership, Sales and Service Management, Service Delivery and wider business functions.
- Work closely with People Leaders and the Head of T&T Practice to support resource planning, risk management and delivery assurance.
- Own and drive compliance with internal governance, methodology, reporting and checkpoint requirements, ensuring quality standards are consistently met.
- Lead improvement activity across your portfolio, using insight, lessons learned and KPI performance to strengthen future delivery outcomes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
