The Global Treasury Team at Jump Trading
The Global Treasury Team at Jump Trading is looking for a Repo Trader. In this role, you will play an important part in managing the daily financing of the fixed income assets of the firm and assist in helping develop the next iteration of Treasury within Jump. You will also interact with both the APAC and US team – and will interact with all levels of various departments throughout the global organization.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage and optimize financing for the overall fixed income portfolio across repo, TRS, and other financing channels with a specific focus in Europe
- Partner with Traders & Portfolio Managers to provide actionable financing market color, pricing analysis, and counterparty intelligence
- Build and maintain strong relationships with funding counterparties to improve pricing, increase capacity, diversify counterparty access, and support entry into new markets
- Work cross-functionally with business teams to support new business activity
- Proactively drive strategic initiatives to optimize funding of a growing FI portfolio
- Assist US, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Group Treasurer in all aspects of cash and collateral management
- Ability to deal with foreign exchange and other money market instruments
- Regional assistance for trade team analysis regarding PnL and cost allocations
- Negotiate and manage margin terms with key counterparties
- Work closely with Risk and other Back Office functions in supporting daily trading activities
- Assist in the identification and development of new procedures, funding structures, and automation of processes related to the function
- Regional treasury assistance with new business initiatives in Europe
- Other duties as assigned or needed

- Minimum academic level of Bachelor’s Degree in STEM, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or related areas
- At least 5 years of experience on the buy or sell side in a repo trading or experience supporting these desks in a technical/quant strats role with an interest in moving into more of a business-facing role
- Technically fluent using Python or other programming languages
- Sound understanding of short-term rates complex and money markets with experience trading STIR products a big plus
- Solid understanding of cross-asset financing complex also considered a big plus
- Strong understanding of the nuances around managing and optimizing around financial resource constraints with banks
- Deep knowledge of the fixed income financing counterparty base
- Proven ability to build strong internal partnerships and external counterparty relationships
- Demonstrated track record of improving processes, workflows, and infrastructure through automation and technology
