This position is ideal for someone who thrives on precision, operational discipline, and cross-team collaboration. You’ll help ensure portfolios are executed accurately, remain aligned to investment models, and support the delivery of high-quality information across the business.
This is a key coordination role, working closely with Investment Management, Trading, Operations, and Wealth Managers to ensure smooth portfolio implementation and exceptional client outcomes.
What You’ll Do
Portfolio Implementation & Trading
- Execute model-driven trades, rebalancing activity, and cash management across centrally managed portfolios.
- Maintain alignment between client portfolios and agreed investment strategies.
- Support the implementation of tailored mandates across internal and external platforms (including Hubwise).
Portfolio Monitoring & Risk Oversight
- Monitor portfolios to ensure they remain within risk tolerances and BITA profiles.
- Assist in producing monitoring packs, risk reports, and portfolio analytics.
- Liaise with risk rating agencies to support ongoing product ratings.

Client & Stakeholder Support
- Respond promptly and clearly to investment-related queries from wealth managers.
- Support senior portfolio managers with tailored mandates, including trade preparation and portfolio reviews.
- Work closely with Middle Office and Operations to ensure smooth settlement and accurate data flow.
Governance, Control & Regulatory Responsibilities
- Operate within the First Line of Defence, ensuring risks are identified and appropriately controlled.
- Maintain competence under MiFID II Information Provider requirements, including annual reassessment and CPD.
- Adhere to SMCR obligations relating to the Certification Regime.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years’ experience in portfolio implementation, trading support, risk monitoring, or multi-asset portfolio management.
- CISI Level 4 required; IMC or CFA Level I preferred.
- Experience within a UK wealth or asset management environment.

Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of investment processes, asset allocation, and risk management.
- Working knowledge of FCA regulations, including Conduct of Business and AML frameworks.
- High proficiency with MS Office and financial data tools (Bloomberg, FactSet, or similar).
- Experience with OMS/PMS platforms (e.g., Aladdin, Charles River, Thinkfolio, Bloomberg AIM) is desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with accountability.
- A collaborative, adaptable approach and a commitment to high-quality delivery.
