Digital Portfolio Lead β Digital Transformation Portfolio in Retail - 2 year FTC πποΈ
Pulse is partnering with a well-known retail brand going through a major multi-market digital transformation, with big plans to keep scaling its customer platforms, supply chain and enterprise technology. The portfolio is worth hundreds of millions over multiple years, and they're now looking for the person to own it end to end.
This is a newly created, senior role and the boardroom voice for the whole portfolio. You'll decide what gets funded, paused or cut, with a PMO Manager reporting into you to run governance day to day. You'll be presenting to C-suite and director-level stakeholders daily, so boardroom confidence is a must.

Iβm in my final year doing Economics and I donβt know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer β it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donβt need a masters. Letβs look at the ones youβd be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Leading investment and prioritisation decisions across customer, supply chain and operations
- Setting portfolio governance, decision forums and PMO standards
- Overseeing portfolio financials: budgets, forecasts, vendor spend, investment cases and benefits

- 10+ years in portfolio, programme or PMO leadership, ideally progressing from project to programme to portfolio
- Experience across more than one large, complex organisation
