The Role

We are currently hiring for a Portfolio Management & Solutions Consultant within our Portfolio Solutions & Strategic Portfolio Management function. You will turn complex portfolio and performance data into clear, actionable insight, helping optimise underwriting portfolios, assess Portfolio Solutions opportunities and support informed decision making across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Drive portfolio performance: Apply the portfolio management framework across CNA Hardy’s underwriting portfolios, monitoring performance against plan, identifying emerging trends and supporting timely management action.
  • Turn insight into action: Translate advanced analytics, AI-enabled insights and performance data into clear recommendations and constructive challenge for underwriting and portfolio decisions.
  • Strengthen reporting and governance: Develop management information, performance metrics, committee papers and executive materials that improve visibility, oversight and senior decision making.
  • Optimise Portfolio Solutions: Evaluate new opportunities and in-force transactions, enhance profitability analytics and work with Pricing, Finance and other teams to assess strategic value and renewal suitability.
  • Build trusted partnerships: Work with business stakeholders, coverholders and facility lead markets to establish robust data, effective workflows and consistent analytical approaches, while supporting regulatory interactions with Lloyd’s of London.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Insurance portfolio expertise: Strong knowledge of general insurance portfolio performance, underwriting lifecycles, operating models, governance and business planning; Lloyd’s market experience is advantageous.
  • Extensive relevant experience: Typically at least 10 years’ experience in insurance, including business partnering with diverse functions such as Underwriting, Delegated Underwriting, Operations and IT.
  • Advanced analytical capability: Confident working with large volumes of data across multiple systems, with advanced proficiency in reporting applications and analytical methodologies.
  • Influential communication: Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the credibility to explain complex insights, challenge constructively and build alignment across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Sound judgement and delivery: A commercial, professional approach with the ability to resolve significant problems, manage competing priorities, guide multidisciplinary projects and deliver accurate outcomes within relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
