We’re looking for a Portfolio Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of SMB clients by delivering a service experience that blends human expertise with self-service capability.
This role is ideal for someone with 5+ years of experience in B2B sales or account management who is ready to take ownership of a portfolio, deepen client relationships, and make a tangible impact on business growth and client success.
The Role
As a Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of high-value business clients, acting as a trusted partner throughout their journey with Convera. You’ll combine relationship management, commercial ownership, and strategic problem-solving to help clients navigate international payments, foreign exchange, and risk management solutions.
The foreign exchange and international payments landscape is fast-moving and complex. Our clients rely on us to help them manage cross-border transactions efficiently while delivering the right balance of digital self-service tools and expert support. In this role, you’ll have direct responsibility for driving revenue growth, retention, and client engagement across your portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management & Client Growth
- Own and grow a portfolio of upper SMB clients, building strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Develop a deep understanding of each client’s business, objectives, and international payment requirements.
- Act as a trusted advisor, identifying opportunities to deliver additional value through Convera’s products and services.
- Drive portfolio retention and expansion through proactive relationship management and regular client engagement.

Business Development & Revenue Generation
- Follow up on inbound leads and proactively engage prospective clients through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other communication channels.
- Identify opportunities to increase wallet share and generate incremental revenue across your portfolio.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities while executing against revenue and activity targets.
- Collaborate closely with Business Development Managers to support the onboarding and early-stage development of new clients.
Solution Selling & Client Enablement
- Deliver tailored solutions across foreign exchange, international payments, and risk management products.
- Help clients maximize the value of Convera’s platform by promoting self-service capabilities while providing expert guidance when required.
- Educate clients on market developments, product enhancements, and solutions that can support their business objectives.
- Support clients in adopting new technologies and digital tools that improve efficiency and drive better outcomes.
Operational Excellence
- Execute a disciplined commercial playbook, balancing proactive outreach, pipeline management, client engagement, and portfolio reviews.
- Maintain accurate client records and activity tracking through CRM and sales enablement platforms.
- Leverage technology, data, and AI-powered tools to improve productivity and client outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

We’re looking for a commercially minded relationship manager who combines strong client engagement skills with a disciplined, results-driven approach.
You enjoy building long-term partnerships, understand how to uncover growth opportunities, and are comfortable managing a portfolio with revenue responsibility. You’re proactive, accountable, and confident working independently while collaborating effectively across teams.

Required Experience & Qualifications
Must Have
- 4+ years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or relationship management.
- 2+ years of experience within cross-border payments, foreign exchange, financial services, or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of customer buying journeys, ideal customer profiles (ICPs), and stakeholder management.
- Demonstrated experience managing a portfolio or book of business with revenue and/or quota responsibility.
- Experience using CRM platforms and sales enablement tools such as Salesforce, Gong, Highspot, or similar technologies.
- Strong digital literacy and a passion for leveraging technology and AI tools to enhance performance.
- Fluent in English
Nice to Have
- Experience selling foreign exchange risk management products, including options and hedging solutions.
- Knowledge of the local SMB market and business landscape.
- Experience working within international payments, fintech, banking, or treasury-related environments.
