As a Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for the offshore non‑Petrobras product portfolio, driving product strategy, lifecycle management, technology investments, and commercial success. You will work closely with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to maximize product value, strengthen market position, and support long‑term business growth.
You will be accountable for the overall health of the portfolio, including strategic planning, new product introductions, technology development, portfolio optimization, and market expansion activities.
As a Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for:
Portfolio Strategy & Business Growth
- Developing and executing product portfolio strategies aligned with business growth objectives.
- Supporting market share expansion and strengthening the competitive position of the FPS portfolio.
- Conducting market assessments, customer analysis, and competitor evaluations to identify growth opportunities.
- Defining product positioning, segmentation, and value propositions across target markets.
- Planning short‑term and long‑term portfolio strategies based on market and technology trends.
- Developing product roadmaps that balance profitability, customer needs, and technology advancement.
Product Lifecycle Management
- Leading lifecycle management activities across existing and new products and services.
- Driving successful execution of:
- New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Advanced Technology Development
- Service portfolio enhancements
- Productivity initiatives
- Managing end‑of‑life strategies and execution for products and services.
- Supporting commercialization of new technologies and solutions.

Commercial & Financial Performance
- Managing portfolio budgets, timelines, and financial performance.
- Developing business cases that demonstrate value and return on technology and product investments.
- Supporting revenue growth through product optimization and portfolio expansion strategies.
- Working with Commercial and Marketing teams to launch and promote products effectively.
- Monitoring portfolio performance and recommending actions to improve business outcomes.
Cross‑Functional Leadership
- Leading a portion of the FPS Product Management team and supporting talent development, engagement, and retention.
- Collaborating with Sales, Commercial, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to support strategic objectives.
- Providing technical and commercial guidance related to product applications, performance, and customer requirements.
- Supporting alignment between business priorities, customer needs, and technology development initiatives.
Technology & Innovation
- Assessing business technologies against market requirements and competitive positioning.
- Supporting technology validation activities with customers and applicable regulatory bodies.
- Leading NPI planning activities and coordinating successful market introduction.
- Utilizing stage‑gate product development systems and corporate governance processes.
- Identifying opportunities that support sustainability objectives and reduce environmental impact across the portfolio.
Industry Engagement
- Representing Baker Hughes at customer meetings, industry forums, technical events, and professional organizations.
- Building strong customer relationships and supporting strategic business opportunities.
- Promoting Baker Hughes technologies, expertise, and innovation within the marketplace.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline. (Equivalent professional experience may also be considered.)
- Bring 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Sales, Operations, Technology, or Technical Support roles.
- Demonstrate experience working with product portfolios and lifecycle management processes.
- Have strong customer relationship and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Possess strong business, commercial, and financial acumen.
- Demonstrate the ability to develop and execute product strategies.
- Have experience managing complex initiatives across cross‑functional teams.
- Possess strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Demonstrate analytical thinking and structured problem‑solving capabilities.
- Be comfortable balancing strategic planning with operational execution.

Desired Characteristics
- Strong understanding of product management principles and lifecycle portfolio management.
- Experience supporting business development and market growth initiatives.
- Proven project management experience.
- Understanding of inventory management and variable cost productivity initiatives.
- Familiarity with ISO, API, and other relevant industry standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities while delivering measurable business results.
- Experience contributing to sustainability and environmental improvement initiatives.

This is a full‑time leadership role requiring collaboration across global teams and customer organizations. The role includes periodic travel to support customer engagement, business development, and portfolio management activities.
Travel Requirement: Approximately 10–20%.
