Role Description
Portfolio Manager opportunity with a leading hedge fund, focused on identifying and trading relative-value opportunities across global fixed income markets. The team is expanding its fixed income capabilities, with a focus on rates, relative-value strategies and portfolio construction. The successful candidate will combine market expertise, quantitative analysis and trading judgement to identify opportunities, manage risk and contribute to the development of investment strategies. The role sits between a fixed income trader, quantitative investor and portfolio manager. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take ownership of trading strategies, manage meaningful risk and work alongside experienced investment professionals in a sophisticated hedge fund environment.

Responsibilities
- Identify and trade relative-value opportunities across fixed income markets.
- Manage positions, portfolio exposures and market risk.
- Develop and refine fixed income trading strategies.
- Analyse market data, pricing relationships and relative-value opportunities.
- Monitor portfolio performance and changing market conditions.
- Apply quantitative analysis to support trading decisions.
- Work closely with researchers, technologists and other investment professionals.
- Contribute to the continued development of the firm's fixed income trading business.

Ideal Candidate
The strongest candidates will typically have:
- Experience trading fixed income, rates or related derivatives.
- Experience within a hedge fund, proprietary trading firm or leading investment bank.
- Strong understanding of relative-value strategies and fixed income markets.
- Experience managing positions, risk and/or P&L responsibility.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Understanding of liquidity, execution and market structure.
- Experience across areas such as government bonds, yield curves, swaps, inflation, basis or rates derivatives.
