Job Description
As a Portfolio Officer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality housing management services across a designated portfolio of supported housing properties. Acting as the primary relationship manager for a range of stakeholders, including managing agents, support providers, local authorities, and commissioners, you will ensure services are delivered effectively, contracts are managed successfully, and customers receive excellent outcomes.
You will be responsible for overseeing tenancy and property performance, including allocations, lettings, income management, tenancy sustainment, and void reduction. Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners, you will identify opportunities to improve service delivery, maximise income, and ensure homes are well managed and compliant.
The role requires strong relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive partnerships while advocating for customers and resolving issues proactively. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs, provide housing advice and support, promote tenancy sustainability, and ensure services are responsive and customer-focused.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
