Job Description

We're looking for a Portfolio Workbook Planning Engineer to maintain and develop an integrated portfolio workbook covering procurement, materials management, manufacturing, logistics and project delivery activities across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

  • Own and maintain the portfolio workbook, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
  • Consolidate project, procurement, supplier, manufacturing and logistics information into a single portfolio view.
  • Track key milestones including demand, procurement readiness, supplier lead times, manufacturing and delivery dates.
  • Identify scheduling conflicts, risks, dependencies and constraints.
  • Produce portfolio reporting, look-ahead plans and exception reports.
  • Support allocation, fulfilment planning and governance reporting.
  • Improve workbook functionality and support the move towards automated reporting and dashboards.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Planning, project controls, portfolio reporting or supply chain planning experience.
  • Strong Excel and data management skills.
  • Experience working with procurement, materials, logistics or project delivery data.
  • Ability to analyse dependencies, schedules and risks.
  • Strong stakeholder management and reporting skills.

Desirable

  • Utilities, energy, infrastructure or engineering sector experience.
  • Power BI, Power Query or dashboard development.
  • Experience supporting major programmes or regulated environments.

Location

Sheffield office 2-3 days per week with hybrid working.
