Portfolio PMO Role

We are seeking a Portfolio PMO to join a technology portfolio management function within a leading global investment bank. Initial 6-month contract with a hybrid working model (2/3 days in the office per week).

This role is suited to an experienced PMO or portfolio professional with a background in financial services, ideally banking, who can support IT governance, portfolio reporting, financial tracking, and executive-level management information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate IT project portfolio data, including status, milestones, risks, benefits, and financial information.
  • Support project governance processes and ensure compliance with delivery frameworks and regulatory expectations.
  • Produce dashboards, MI, and executive reporting for senior stakeholders.
  • Support budget management, forecasting, actuals tracking, and variance analysis.
  • Review project updates and provide constructive challenge to ensure quality reporting.
  • Support governance meetings, portfolio processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with technology teams, project managers, and finance stakeholders.

About You

You will have:

  • Experience working in a PMO, Project Portfolio Management, or project governance role within financial services (banking preferred).
  • Strong understanding of IT project delivery and governance frameworks.
  • Experience with project financial tracking, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills, with experience producing dashboards and management information.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with senior stakeholders.
  • A proactive, organized approach with strong attention to detail.
