Job Title
Our client, one of the UK's leading financial services companies, is seeking an experienced Portfolio PMO Lead to play a key role in the successful delivery of a large and complex change portfolio within a regulated environment.
About the Role
Operating as the senior PMO representative for an assigned portfolio, you will work closely with portfolio leadership and delivery teams to ensure governance, planning, reporting, financial management, benefits tracking, resource management, risk management and change control processes are consistently applied and maintained.
Acting as a key link between portfolio delivery and the central PMO function, you will be responsible for ensuring portfolio information is accurate, timely, and supports effective decision-making at senior leadership level.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead PMO activities across a complex portfolio of change initiatives.
- Ensure effective governance, planning, reporting and assurance processes are embedded across all programmes and projects.
- Maintain portfolio-level oversight of risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies (RAID).
- Support change control processes and ensure impacts are appropriately assessed and managed.
- Oversee portfolio financial management, including budget tracking, variance analysis and forecasting.
- Drive adherence to PMO standards, frameworks, methodologies and controls.
- Collaborate with programme and project teams to identify delivery risks and improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of PMO processes and ways of working.

Essential Skills
- Significant experience managing planning, delivery oversight, reporting, governance and resourcing across complex, multi-workstream programmes at a portfolio or programme management level.
- Strong portfolio PMO leadership experience covering governance, planning, reporting, finance, benefits tracking and resource management.
- Leadership experience
- Strong understanding of portfolio planning, dependency management, risk escalation and change control processes.
- Experience managing portfolio financials, including forecasting, cost variance analysis and benefits management.
- Financial services/banking industry background
