Location: Hybrid 3 days onsite - Sheffield

Rate: Inside IR35 £450.00 - £460.00 pd

If you're known for turning complex delivery into clear executive insight, this is a great opportunity to bring governance, reporting excellence and portfolio control to strategic change initiatives. We are hiring for a reputed client, supporting transformation delivery in a highly regulated environment—where your expertise will directly influence decisions and outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Set up and maintain portfolio governance frameworks across programmes and projects, ensuring delivery assurance and compliance
  • Track delivery performance across multiple initiatives, including milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and financials
  • Produce accurate, timely executive reporting—dashboards, management information and board-ready presentations
  • Analyse resource, performance and financial data to spot trends, risks and opportunities
  • Support business case development and investment proposal tracking
  • Build strong working relationships across Change, Technology, Operations and Business, including senior leadership
  • Facilitate governance forums, steering committees and portfolio review meetings, challenging constructively to improve outcomes
  • Maintain high-quality governance documentation (packs, status reports, decision papers) and support audit-ready documentation
  • Drive continuous improvement in PMO practices—streamlining reporting, documentation and governance processes

What You'll Bring

  • Significant experience across PMO, portfolio management, project management or change delivery
  • Proven ability operating within large-scale transformation programmes and portfolios
  • Experience engaging confidently with Director/Managing Director/Executive-level stakeholders
  • Track record producing executive reporting, management information and dashboards
  • Strong understanding of delivery governance and project lifecycle management
  • Experience managing portfolio-level risks, issues, dependencies and financial tracking
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis; VBA/macros preferred)
  • Advanced PowerPoint experience producing executive presentations
  • Experience with Power BI (or similar) for dashboards and visualisation
  • Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery methodologies
  • Highly analytical, organised and proactive—comfortable balancing strategic oversight with hands-on delivery
