Job Introduction
The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority (MCA) is seeking to appoint Portfolio Resourcing and Pipeline Coordinator to join the Corporate Portfolio Management Office. Your key responsibilities in this role would be to ensure a focus on delivering the priorities of the Mayor to deliver for the West of England by:
- Coordinating and managing the deployment of project management resources across the WECA portfolio.
- Coordinating project mobilisation activities, ensuring plans, schedules and resource requirements are clear and aligned.
- Maintain and update a portfolio level project schedule, keeping oversight over plans and resourcing commitments across the organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in shaping how projects and programmes are resourced across the organisation, ensuring the right people are deployed to the right priorities at the right time. Working at the heart of our Corporate PMO, you'll help provide the insight, coordination and forward planning needed to support successful project delivery and informed decision-making.
This is a critical time in our transformation and growth journey, and you’ll be pivotal in helping us achieve our ambitions by:
- Supporting effective deployment of PMO resources across our portfolio, ensuring capacity is aligned to organisational priorities and delivery needs.
- Developing and maintaining a clear view of current and future project demand, providing insight that supports informed resource planning and decision-making.
- Ensuring portfolio information is accurate, complete and up to date, enabling effective reporting, assurance and governance.
- Coordinating project mobilisation activities, helping projects establish robust plans, controls and resource requirements from the outset.
- Providing proactive coordination between the Corporate PMO, Strategy Team and delivery teams to identify dependencies, manage competing priorities and support successful project delivery.

- Can balance competing priorities and maintain a clear focus on delivery.

The salary for this role is £38,220 - £41,771. This is the full-time equivalent salary, and will be pro-rata for part-time. We advertise salary ranges for job roles, with new appointments for external candidates typically starting at the lowest salary point. In exceptional cases, where higher skill levels or experience are applicable, the salary point may be adjusted to secure the best candidate. This approach allows for potential year-on-year salary increases, offering progression and appropriate rewards to employees.
