We’re working with a growing and entrepreneurial specialist insurance business seeking to hire an experienced Portfolio Solutions Broker to support the continued growth of its portfolio and facility offering. This role offers ownership of a P&L bringing connections and network to enhance the Portfolio solutions offering of the business. Our client holds a bespoke team of three Portfolio Solutions experts.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of clients, coverholders and distribution partners across US jurisdictions.
  • Structure, negotiate and place portfolio insurance solutions for clients and partners.
  • Lead the broking process from initial opportunity through to placement, negotiation and ongoing portfolio management.
  • Build strong relationships with insurers, MGAs, coverholders and capacity providers.
  • Identify opportunities to develop new facilities, programmes and delegated authority arrangements.
  • Work closely with clients and coverholders to understand their underwriting strategy, distribution model and capacity requirements.
  • Negotiate capacity arrangements and placement structures with insurer and reinsurer partners.
  • Develop and grow existing client and market relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Take ownership of opportunities and contribute to the development of new products, facilities and strategic partnerships.
  • Maintain high standards of client service, governance and broking excellence throughout the placement process.

  • 6+ years’ experience within insurance broking.
  • Strong experience in Portfolio Solutions, Delegated Authority, Facilities or Programme business.
  • Experience working with a portfolio of clients, MGAs and/or coverholders.
  • Strong exposure to business across US, UK or European jurisdictions.
