Portfolio Analyst / Resource Management Analyst
Location: Stratford / West Ham Lane, London
Salary: Up to £59,000
Type: Permanent
Overview
We are looking for a Portfolio Analyst with strong resource management experience to join a delivery-focused transformation environment. This is a hands-on role supporting portfolio planning, demand and capacity management, and the development of a more robust resourcing process across projects and transformation work.
This is not a pure PMO administration role, nor a data-only analyst position. We need someone who can confidently work with delivery stakeholders, help shape process, and bring credibility to resource planning in a busy and evolving environment.
The role will suit someone who has previously worked in a larger organisation with established resource management practices and who is comfortable operating in a role that spans analysis, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management of delivery resources across a transformation portfolio
- Assist with demand planning, capacity planning, and long-term forecasting
- Help define, improve, and implement resource management processes
- Work with project managers, delivery leads, and stakeholders to understand resource needs
- Challenge and influence planning assumptions where required
- Support the fulfilment of resource requests across the portfolio
- Contribute to the development and rollout of a purpose-built resourcing tool
- Produce clear reporting and analysis to support portfolio decision-making
- Help mature a developing resource management function
- Maintain a focus on delivery resources rather than enterprise-wide resource tracking

Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience in resource management or resource analysis within a portfolio, programme, or transformation environment
- Experience designing, improving, or rolling out resource management processes
- Strong understanding of demand planning, capacity planning, and forecasting
- Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and project managers
- Comfortable balancing operational delivery with process improvement
- Strong analytical and organisational skills
- Experience in a larger organisation with established delivery or resourcing practices
- Good understanding of roles such as Business Analysts, Project Managers, Solution Architects, and technical SMEs

Location and Working Pattern
This role is based in Stratford / West Ham Lane.
Remote working is not considered suitable for the needs of the role, although there may be limited flexibility depending on the candidate.
