This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Portuguese Voice Actor - Freelance AI Trainer Project based in United Kingdom.
This opportunity is designed for an experienced Portuguese voice professional interested in helping shape the next generation of AI-powered speech technologies.
You will contribute your voice expertise to training data that helps AI systems communicate with greater clarity, accuracy, and naturalness.
The role combines professional voice performance with speech evaluation, linguistic annotation, and AI model feedback.
You will record scripted Portuguese content and assess AI-generated speech for pronunciation, tone, pacing, emotional expression, and regional authenticity.
Your insights will help improve voice models used across areas such as education, entertainment, accessibility, and digital communication.
You’ll work with advanced AI tools while applying your professional judgment and attention to linguistic detail.
This is a flexible freelance opportunity for a skilled Portuguese voice actor looking to make a meaningful contribution to AI development.
Accountabilities
- Record high-quality scripted speech samples in Portuguese for use in AI training and voice model development.
- Evaluate AI-generated speech for linguistic accuracy, pronunciation, naturalness, tone, pacing, emotional expression, and regional variation.
- Identify, annotate, and clearly document errors or inconsistencies in AI-generated voice outputs.
- Provide expert feedback that helps improve Portuguese speech models and their ability to produce natural, expressive communication.
- Collaborate with project teams to refine prompts, evaluation methodologies, voice design guidelines, and quality standards.
- Apply professional voice acting expertise to ensure recordings demonstrate appropriate clarity, authenticity, delivery, and emotional nuance.
- Consistently maintain high-quality audio recordings using professional equipment and a suitable recording environment.
- Follow project instructions, quality standards, annotation guidelines, and data-handling requirements accurately and consistently.

Requirements
- Demonstrated professional experience in Portuguese voice acting, dubbing, narration, broadcasting, or a closely related performance discipline.
- Strong command of spoken Portuguese, including accurate pronunciation, natural intonation, pacing, and expressive delivery.
- Ability to recognize and evaluate subtle differences in speech quality, linguistic accuracy, tone, and regional variation.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to provide precise, constructive feedback on AI-generated speech.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain linguistic or performance-related observations effectively.
- Comfortable working with AI-powered tools and adapting to evolving workflows, evaluation criteria, and project requirements.
- Experience in voice training, coaching, linguistic annotation, speech evaluation, or AI data projects is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and consistently meet project requirements and quality standards.
- Access to a reliable computer, stable internet connection, high-quality microphone, and a quiet environment suitable for professional voice recording.
