Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to support the delivery and development of PBS practice across specialist care and education services.
This role will focus on embedding Positive Behaviour Support principles, reducing behaviours of concern and restrictive practice, and improving quality of life for children, young people and adults with a range of care, learning and support needs.
Responsibilities
The role will involve:
- Managing an allocated PBS caseload
- Leading behavioural assessments and intervention planning
- Collecting, reviewing and analysing behavioural data
- Designing, implementing and reviewing PBS plans
- Supporting teams through training, coaching and workshops
- Promoting consistent, person-centred support across services
- Supporting multidisciplinary meetings and producing clear reports
- Championing Human Rights-based approaches
- Contributing to restrictive practice reduction initiatives
- Supporting transitions and service needs assessments

Requirements
We are looking for someone with:
- Level 4 Positive Behaviour Support qualification, or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience delivering PBS and managing a caseload
- Strong analytical skills with experience using behavioural data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to coach, support and influence multidisciplinary teams
- Confidence working autonomously and managing priorities
- Commitment to person-centred practice and reducing restrictive practice
- Strong focus on improving outcomes and quality of life
