About The Post
We are looking to appoint a dedicated and proactive Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our passionate and supportive team at Twynham School.
This permanent, term-time role is vital to maintaining our school’s calm, purposeful, and respectful learning environment. You won’t be working in isolation, you’ll be part of a committed team that shares a belief in the power of positive relationships, high expectations, and restorative practice to support student growth.
At Twynham School, behaviour is good, and our culture is built on mutual respect and high standards. We are looking for someone who genuinely wants to work with young people — someone who can help them reflect on their choices, take responsibility for their actions, and re-engage positively with their learning.
Reporting to the Assistant Headteacher, you will play a role in supporting the Learn and Behave room, working closely with staff and students to promote inclusivity, personal development, and a strong sense of belonging.
If you are passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives and thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented school setting, we would love to hear from you.
We are looking for an outstanding individual who will relish the opportunity to:
- Support the day-to-day running of the Learn and Behave room, ensuring it is a focused and effective learning space.
- Assist with the ‘on-call’ and centralised detention systems, including supervision and communication.
- Monitor and respond to student behaviour incidents, including truancy and safeguarding concerns.
- Track and analyse behaviour data to inform strategic decisions and reduce suspensions.
- Promote consistent behaviour management practices across the school.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding and Child Protection policies.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
