About the Role
Reeson Education is recruiting for a Post 16 SEN TA to join a well-regarded special needs school in Harrow. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm position starting in September.
The school provides education for young people with additional learning needs, focusing on developing life skills, independence, communication, and preparation for adulthood.
Responsibilities:
As a Post 16 SEN TA in Harrow, you will:
- Work closely with students aged 16-25.
- Help students develop practical skills for use in school and the wider community.
- Support students with activities such as:
- Developing practical life skills
- Communication and social skills
- Travel training and community-based activities
- Preparing for employment and further education
- Personal organisation and daily routines
- Functional English and Maths
- Developing confidence in practical settings
- Supporting students to work towards their individual targets

About the School
This is a welcoming special needs school in Harrow with a dedicated Post 16 provision focused on preparing students for their next stage of life. The school offers a structured environment where staff work together to help students develop practical skills and make progress towards their future goals.
Requirements:
The school is seeking a Post 16 SEN TA who has:
- Previous experience working with young people with SEN.
- Experience within a school, college, care, or youth setting.
- An understanding of additional learning needs.
- Good communication skills.
- A calm and consistent approach.
- The ability to follow individual learning and behaviour plans.
- An interest in developing practical and life skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
Experience working with students with SEN, ASD, MLD, SLD, or complex learning needs would be beneficial, although relevant transferable experience will also be considered.
