Post Production Coordinator (Freelance)

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Post Production Coordinator to join a leading online publishing and production company on an ongoing freelance basis. Working alongside a talented, close-knit post production team, you'll play a key role in keeping projects, workflows and content moving efficiently from ingest through to final delivery.

The Role

  • Coordinate in-house edit suites and post production workflows
  • Set up edit stations and onboard new editors onto internal systems
  • Manage media storage, data transfers, backups, archiving and restores
  • Ensure content is securely backed up and available across storage environments
  • Support the delivery of assets to broadcasters, platforms and commercial partners
  • Troubleshoot post production systems, software and technical issues
  • Manage post production software accounts (Vimeo, WeTransfer, Trint etc.)
  • Prepare DIT kits, manage rushes and oversee data workflows for shoots
  • Liaise with Project Managers, Post Houses and Broadcasters on technical specifications, quotes and deliveries
  • Coordinate frame rate conversions, transcriptions and graphics with third-party suppliers
  • Continuously improve and document post production processes

  • Strong understanding of post production workflows and best practices
  • Experience working within a busy post production environment
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously

The Details

  • £240 per day (circa £1,200 per week)
  • Ongoing freelance contract, starting ASAP
  • Ideally based onsite 5 days per week in Central London, with some flexibility
