The Role
This is a key role supporting our post-production workflows across in-house and remote edit teams, from ingest and media management through to final programme delivery. We're looking for someone highly organised, technically confident and calm under pressure, with strong Avid-based workflow experience and a practical, solutions-focused approach to keeping productions moving.
You'll act as the main post-production support contact for Editors, Producers and Production Managers, helping to troubleshoot day-to-day issues, coordinate edit set-ups, maintain clean project structures and make sure media is backed up, documented, transferred and stored in line with company procedures.
This role would suit someone with strong hands-on post-production experience who enjoys keeping complex workflows organised, supporting busy edit teams and making sure the right systems, media and information are in place at the right time.

Required Skills & Experience
- Significant experience of post-production processes and digital workflows, including media management, offline editing, grading and delivery workflows.
- Strong understanding of Avid-based workflows, shared storage systems and remote edit set-ups.
- Experience managing large media archives, rushes, Avid media, drive logs and associated documentation.
- Confident supporting editors, producers, production managers and freelance post-production teams with day-to-day technical and workflow queries.
- Strong hands-on post-production experience, with the judgement and confidence to support technical edit-assistant tasks while also helping to coordinate workflows, troubleshoot issues and keep post-production processes running smoothly.
- Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems calmly, creatively and logically in a fast-paced production environment.
- Experience with tools such as Avid, Media Encoder, Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve desirable.
- Experience maintaining clear workflow guides, documentation and project records.
- Comfortable coordinating transfers between productions, editors, external suppliers and remote edit teams.
- Collaborative, supportive and able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary post-production support contact for Editors, Producers and Production Managers, providing day-to-day offline edit support from ingest through to delivery. You will be the main point of contact to troubleshoot day-to-day post-production issues and requests.
- Edit Suite Setup
- Co-ordinate remote editing workflows and technical requirements.
- Lead onboarding of freelance editors and post-production staff, ensuring they have the systems, access and resources required to work efficiently.
- Create and maintain consistent folder structures and project workflows.
- Project setup and project organisation.
- Ensure edit suite bookings and post-production resources are up to date.
- Ingesting & Backups
- Transfer and log rushes.
- Keep track of drives and update the drive log.
- Prepare and transcode rushes into Avid.
- File rushes in the Avid project.
- Import different forms of archive.
- Import stills, GFX and music for the edit.
- Preparing Material in the Project
- Sync material across audio and video.
- Group multi-cam rushes.
- Create exports for viewing or transcribing.
- Provide general support for offline editors and Production.
- Final Post & Programme Delivery
- Conform final programmes and support archive replacement.
- Prepare EDLs.
- Create AAF and MOV files for dub.
- Create split tracks for VO record sessions.
- Provide general support for the online team.
- Restore old rushes where required.
- Once completed, back up and archive programmes in line with company procedures and best practice.
- Media Management
- Ensure all media is correctly backed up, documented and stored in line with company procedures.
- Manage transfers between productions, editors, external suppliers and remote edit teams.
- Manage active projects, media logs, archive documents and associated documentation.
- Maintain Nexus, LTO, QNAPs and associated databases.
- Systems & Technical Support
- Troubleshoot day-to-day post-production issues.
- Maintain documentation and workflow guides.
- Liaise with technical suppliers when required.
- Identify opportunities to improve post-production systems and processes.

Essential Skills & Knowledge
- Significant experience of post-production processes and digital workflows, including media management, editing, grading and VFX.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to solve problems creatively and logically.
- Strong post-production IT skills, including supporting in-house and remote edit suites working with Windows OS and Avid configuration.
- Strong understanding of Avid-based workflows.
- Experience with tools such as Avid, Media Encoder, Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve desirable.
- Strong organisational and documentation skills.
- Excellent media management skills.
Essential Experience
- Past work experience that demonstrates a passion for working in post-production.
- Experience managing large media archives.
- Experience working with shared storage systems.
- Experience working on multiple productions simultaneously.
- Experience training junior edit assistants.
