Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract - 6 months
We are seeking a Post Room Manager to lead and oversee the safe, secure and efficient delivery of mailroom, porterage and associated logistics services across multiple client locations within a highly regulated and security-sensitive environment.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all mail, parcels, confidential documents, cash, valuables and operational supplies are processed, tracked and delivered accurately while maintaining strict compliance with security, operational and client requirements.
This role will also lead a multi-site operational team, manage stakeholder relationships, drive service improvements and ensure agreed performance standards are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of mailroom, courier, parcel and internal distribution services across multiple sites.
- Ensure all services are delivered in line with agreed service levels and operational requirements.
- Oversee porterage and logistics operations, ensuring safe and efficient handling of materials and supplies.
- Maintain compliance with all security procedures relating to confidential, classified and sensitive materials.
- Manage, develop and motivate a multi-site operational team, ensuring appropriate training and competency levels are maintained.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, suppliers and contractors.
- Drive operational improvements through process enhancements, technology adoption and service innovation.
- Monitor performance, budgets and operational costs, identifying efficiencies and value-for-money opportunities.

Skills & Experience
- Experience managing post room operations, distribution services, internal logistics or similar operational functions.
- Demonstrable understanding of information security, chain of custody procedures and secure document handling.
- Experience operating within highly regulated or security-sensitive environments.
- Strong experience using mail tracking, logistics management and reporting systems.
- Proven experience leading and developing operational teams.
- Experience implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiencies.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing demands.

Security Requirements
Due to the nature of this role, candidates must hold current SC Clearance or be willing to undergo SC Clearance, enhanced security screening, background checks and ongoing vetting requirements.
