The Team:

The Post Trade Sales Specialist will join S&P Global Market Intelligence’s EMEA commercial organization, working closely with regional sales colleagues and specialists across Product, Presales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Success. The team brings together deep market expertise and a collaborative, client-focused approach to help financial institutions modernize critical post-trade workflows. This role will support growth across Corporate Actions Pro, Corporate Actions Core, Managed Corporate Actions, and Agent Validation Service. It requires a senior sales professional who can provide strategic perspective, mobilize complex stakeholder groups, and help colleagues navigate significant commercial opportunities.

The Impact:

You will have a direct impact on the growth of our post-trade business by originating new relationships, building a high-quality pipeline, and closing strategic opportunities across EMEA. Your clients and prospects will include asset managers, hedge funds, custodians, investment banks, market infrastructure providers, and other financial-market participants.

Operating as a senior commercial specialist, you will engage decision-makers across operations, technology, data, risk, and executive leadership. You will connect changing client priorities and market trends with our capabilities, influence go-to-market strategy, and identify innovative approaches that strengthen our competitive position and deliver sustainable revenue growth.

What’s in it for You:

  • Take ownership of a strategically important EMEA growth mandate and lead complex opportunities from initial market engagement through commercial negotiation and close.
  • Develop trusted relationships with senior decision-makers and C-level executives at leading financial institutions, positioning S&P Global Market Intelligence as a strategic partner.
  • Work with an integrated international team across Sales, Product, Presales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Success, gaining broad exposure to our post-trade capabilities and regional growth priorities.
  • Shape go-to-market plans by bringing client insight, competitive intelligence, and a forward-looking perspective to product positioning and market-expansion decisions.
  • Play a visible leadership role by sharing expertise, coaching colleagues, and supporting the development of commercial capability across the wider team.

Responsibilities:

  • Originate new business and create a sustainable, well-qualified EMEA pipeline for Corporate Actions Pro, Corporate Actions Core, Managed Corporate Actions, and Agent Validation Service, with clear accountability for achieving ambitious revenue targets.
  • Develop and execute strategic territory and opportunity plans covering asset managers, hedge funds, custodians, investment banks, market infrastructure providers, and other priority financial-market participants.
  • Lead complex enterprise sales cycles from prospecting and discovery through solution development, business-case creation, commercial negotiation, and close. Build consensus among stakeholders across operations, technology, data, risk, procurement, and executive leadership.
  • Coordinate Product, Presales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Success throughout the sales process, setting a clear pursuit strategy, aligning competing priorities, and ensuring a consistent and compelling client proposition.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity, pipeline, and forecast information in Salesforce, using data and commercial judgment to prioritize activity, improve conversion, and support revenue growth.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and evolving client requirements, and use these insights to inform account strategies, client conversations, and go-to-market plans.
  • Represent the business at client meetings, conferences, and industry events, communicating the value of our post-trade solutions to senior audiences.
  • Contribute to go-to-market strategy, market-expansion initiatives, and overall sales performance by identifying emerging client needs, challenging established approaches, and promoting innovation. Share market intelligence, coach colleagues, and provide constructive guidance on complex opportunities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
