Postgraduate Research Operations Assistant (Experience) or (Hub Support)

We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Postgraduate Research Operations Assistant (Experience) or (Hub Support). This role provides administrative support for Postgraduate Research (PGR) Experience within the Doctoral Academy, contributing to the effective delivery of student experience activities, communications and operational processes. Working as part of a flexible Professional Services team, you will support the delivery of high-quality, consistent and compliant services.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative support for PGR operations within the Doctoral Academy.
  • Providing front facing student support, including providing clear information, advice and guidance and escalating issues where required.
  • Supporting the transition of new postgraduate researchers through registration and induction.
  • Supporting student experience activity, including conference and poster events and networking activities for postgraduate researchers.
  • Support the operation of the Doctoral Academy Hub welcome desk on a rota basis, acting as a first point of contact for postgraduate researchers and responding to enquiries.

About You

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience of working in a customer-facing or events environment, providing practical support for event coordination and delivery.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide information to a range of audiences.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to providing a high standard of customer service to key stakeholders.
  • Good digital literacy, with the ability to use a range of systems and a willingness to learn new tools.
