Power Automate Developer - working from home
Mid October start
My client is looking for a Power Automate Developer who can transform time-consuming manual work into secure, reliable solutions that make a real business impact.
Working closely with business and technology teams, you’ll take ideas from discovery to deployment using Microsoft Power Automate and the wider Power Platform, while helping to shape the standards and governance behind a successful automation practice.
What You’ll Do
- Own the automation lifecycle through from identifying opportunities to delivering and supporting solutions that perform.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify high-value automation opportunities and define clear requirements.
- Translating processes into practical solution designs, user stories, acceptance criteria and technical documentation.
- Designing, building, testing and deploying cloud/desktop flows and approval workflows in Microsoft Power Automate.
- Integrate Microsoft 365 and approved business systems using connectors, APIs, gateways and custom connectors.
- Combine Power Apps, SharePoint, Teams and Power BI to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions.
- Creating clear Power BI reporting and visualisations in collaboration with the BI team.
- Building dependable automations with robust exception handling, logging, monitoring, notifications and recovery.
- Apply strong security, data protection, access control, environment and application lifecycle standards.
- Develop reusable components and templates that accelerate consistent delivery.
- Support live automations by resolving incidents, fixing defects and delivering enhancements.
- Produce practical documentation and deliver training and knowledge transfer when required.

- Proven experience delivering solutions with Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI and related technologies.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of cloud flows, approvals, expressions, variables, error handling, connection references and solution-aware components.
- Working knowledge of Power Apps, Dataverse, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365.
- A solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON, authentication, data gateways and custom connectors.
- Experience moving managed solutions through development, test and production environments using disciplined release practices.
- The ability to simplify complex processes and turn business needs into practical, supportable solutions.
- A sound understanding of data governance, security and role-based access.
