Power BI Administrator – Data security Owner | Outside IR 35 Contract | Hybrid

Rate: £400 - £470/day Outside IR35 contract
Contract Duration: Initial 6 months (Potential extension up to 24 months)
Hybrid: 2-3 days a week onsite in London
Industry: Highly Regulated Financial Services Firm

Job Summary:

We are searching for a strong Power BI Administrator on behalf of our Business consultant client. This role is the operational and security owner for the Power BI reporting platform, ensuring reporting solutions are securely transitioned into production and remain reliable, governed, and compliant. You will manage workspace access, data refreshes, gateways, information protection controls, and ongoing support for business-critical analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Power BI workspaces, datasets, and user access
  • Maintain refresh schedules and gateway configurations
  • Apply information protection and data governance controls
  • Support production reporting and dashboard services
  • Monitor reporting performance and data quality
  • Provide ongoing support to business reporting users

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Strong Power BI administration experience
  • Knowledge of workspace security and access management
  • Experience with gateways, refreshes, and credentials
  • Understanding of sensitivity labels and data protection
  • Ability to investigate reporting and connectivity issues
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
