Power BI & Data Migration Specialist – Power Apps, Dataverse, D365

Up to £60k

Predominately remote working (1-2 days per month in Birmingham)

We’re looking for a Power BI-focused Data Specialist who can deliver high-quality reporting and insights, while also supporting data migration projects into Power Apps, Dataverse and Dynamics 365 (D365).

The role will be primarily focused on Power BI reporting and data migration, working closely with both technical and business stakeholders to ensure data is accurate, reliable and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards and semantic models aligned to business requirements.
  • Deliver end-to-end data migration solutions from source systems into platforms including Dataverse, Power Apps and D365.
  • Support data migration into Azure-based platforms where required, including Azure SQL, Data Lake and Fabric.
  • Work with stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics and data visualisation requirements.
  • Build and optimise Power BI datasets using effective data modelling and DAX.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation and post-migration reporting to ensure data quality and accuracy.
  • Translate migrated and operational data into clear, actionable insights for business users.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on Power BI experience, including reports, dashboards, semantic models and DAX.
  • Proven experience designing robust data models for reporting and analytical use cases.
  • Strong hands-on experience delivering data migration projects (ETL/ELT, data validation, reconciliation and cutover).
  • Experience migrating data into Power Apps, Dataverse and/or Dynamics 365 (D365) is essential.
  • Solid SQL skills and understanding of relational data models.
  • Experience working with Azure-based data platforms such as Azure SQL, Data Lake, Synapse or Fabric.
  • Experience validating migrated datasets and resolving data quality issues.
