This is an opportunity to join a business undergoing a major data transformation programme, helping to build a trusted reporting environment across multiple business functions. You will play a key role in shaping data architecture, improving integration's, and delivering meaningful Power BI insights that support strategic decision-making.

The Company

They are a well-established, commercially focused organisation with a strong international presence. As part of an ongoing data integration initiative, they are bringing together information from multiple systems across finance, HR, operations, and client-facing functions. They are investing in creating a single source of truth to improve reporting, data visibility, and business performance. This contract offers the chance to make a tangible impact within a complex and evolving environment.

The Role and Deliverables

  • Engage with senior stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and recommend BI solutions.
  • Take ownership of the existing Azure SQL Server environment, including databases, integrations, and API connections.
  • Troubleshoot data quality, connectivity, and integration issues across multiple business systems.
  • Support the development and enhancement of data warehouse architecture, data pipelines, and transformation layers.
  • Design and deliver intuitive Power BI dashboards for commercial, finance, operational, and HR stakeholders.
  • Translate complex business data into actionable insights and reporting outputs that support decision-making.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI.
  • Advanced SQL development capability, ideally within Azure SQL Server environments.
  • Experience managing and supporting existing database environments and data platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data integration's, APIs, and troubleshooting complex data flows.
  • Proven ability to deliver end-to-end BI solutions, from backend architecture through to visualisation.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, with exposure to AWS or GCP advantageous.
  • Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and operate effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Commercial awareness and a strong focus on delivering business value through data.
  • Experience within media, agency, creative, or other fast-moving commercial organisations is beneficial.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, SAP-based platforms, or large-scale transformation programmes would be advantageous.
